Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Wonderful Minds Tuition. By enrolling in our tutoring services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking your child’s place.
1. Service Overview
Wonderful Minds Tuition provides high-quality tuition for Primary-aged pupils through small group sessions. Sessions are designed to build confidence, strengthen understanding, address learning gaps and provide appropriate challenge for every child.
Teaching is delivered by a qualified teacher and includes carefully planned lessons, educational resources, engaging activities and regular communication with parents regarding progress and development.
Whilst every effort is made to support each child in reaching their full potential, educational progress varies from pupil to pupil. Outcomes are influenced by a range of factors, including attendance, engagement, effort, prior knowledge and individual learning needs. For this reason, Wonderful Minds Tuition cannot guarantee specific academic results, grades or outcomes.
2. Enrolment
A child’s place is confirmed once these Terms and Conditions have been accepted and any required payment has been received.
New students are invited to attend an initial trial session. Payment for this session must be made in advance of attendance.
Following the trial session, parents may decide whether they would like their child to continue. If a place is accepted, payment will then be required for the remaining sessions within that calendar month. Thereafter, tuition operates on a monthly enrolment basis.
3. Payments
Trial Session
All new pupils attend an initial trial session before committing to ongoing tuition.
The trial session fee must be paid before the session takes place. Following the session, parents can decide whether they wish to continue with tuition. If they choose to proceed, payment will be requested for the remaining sessions within that month.
Monthly Commitment
To support consistency and ensure meaningful progress, tuition places are offered on a monthly commitment basis.
Following the initial trial session, families reserve their child’s place by paying for all sessions within the month, similar to other ongoing activities such as swimming lessons, dance classes or sports clubs.
Payment Terms
Monthly fees are due on the 1st of each month.
If payment has not been received by the due date, tuition sessions may be suspended until payment is received in full.
Wonderful Minds Tuition reserves the right to withdraw a pupil’s place if payments remain outstanding.
Session Fees
Monthly fees are calculated according to the number of scheduled sessions taking place within each calendar month. As Wonderful Minds Tuition follows local school term dates, monthly fees may vary depending on school holidays, Bank Holidays and planned tutor closures. Parents will only be charged for sessions scheduled to take place during that month.
Fees may be reviewed periodically. Parents will be given reasonable notice of any changes.
Payment Method
Payments must be made using the payment method specified by Wonderful Minds Tuition. Payment details and instructions will be provided upon enrolment and may be updated from time to time.
School Holidays and Planned Closures
Wonderful Minds Tuition follows local school term dates and does not normally operate during the Christmas holiday period.
Sessions will not take place on Bank Holidays.
During other school holidays, including half-term breaks, Easter holidays and summer holidays, optional revision sessions, booster classes or holiday workshops may be offered. These sessions are entirely optional, charged separately from regular tuition sessions and subject to availability. Details and pricing will be provided in advance.
In addition, there may occasionally be planned tutor closures due to holidays, professional commitments or other circumstances. Parents will always receive reasonable notice of any planned closures and will not be charged for sessions that do not take place during these periods.
4. Cancellation Policy
If Wonderful Minds Tuition Cancels a Session
In the unlikely event that a session needs to be cancelled by the tutor, every effort will be made to provide an alternative session.
Where a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, a credit will be applied towards future tuition fees.
If Your Child Misses a Session
If your child is unable to attend a session, at least 24 hours’ notice is appreciated where possible.
An alternative session may be offered at the tutor’s discretion and is subject to availability. If an alternative session is offered but is not attended or accepted, the original session will be considered missed and no refund, credit or transfer will be provided.
As tuition places are reserved in advance, missed sessions are generally non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Ending Tuition
If you wish to discontinue your child’s tuition, one month’s written notice is required.
This allows sufficient time to offer the place to another family and maintain group continuity.
Wonderful Minds Tuition reserves the right to terminate tuition immediately if these Terms and Conditions are not followed, if fees remain unpaid, or if behaviour repeatedly disrupts the learning environment.
6. Expectations and Conduct
Student Behaviour
All pupils are expected to behave respectfully towards the tutor and other students.
Persistent disruptive behaviour may result in tuition being discontinued.
Arrival and Collection
Please ensure that your child arrives on time for their session and is collected promptly at the end.
As sessions may run consecutively, families are kindly asked not to arrive significantly early to avoid disrupting other groups.
Parent Communication
Wonderful Minds Tuition values positive communication with families and encourages parents to discuss any concerns or questions regarding their child’s learning and progress.
7. Safeguarding and Responsability
Whilst reasonable care is taken to provide a safe learning environment, parents remain responsible for ensuring that any relevant medical conditions, allergies or additional needs are disclosed before tuition begins.
Wonderful Minds Tuition cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to sessions.
The tutor holds a DBS certificate and is trained in First Aid.
8. Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of all children attending Wonderful Minds Tuition is of the highest importance.
The tutor holds a DBS certificate and current First Aid training. Any safeguarding concerns arising during tuition sessions will be managed in accordance with UK safeguarding guidance and, where necessary, concerns may be shared with relevant authorities to ensure the welfare of the child.
Parents are responsible for informing the tutor of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, additional needs or safeguarding information that may affect their child’s participation in sessions.
9. Communication
Parents may contact Wonderful Minds Tuition via email or WhatsApp.
Every effort is made to respond promptly to messages. During busy periods, response times may occasionally be longer than usual. If a matter is urgent, please indicate this clearly so that it can be prioritised where appropriate.
10. Changes to These Terms
Wonderful Minds Tuition reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Parents will be notified of any significant changes before they come into effect.
By enrolling with Wonderful Minds Tuition, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
